In early November Sister Mary Elena welcomed Linda Riva as an Affiliate at our Mary Immaculate Hospital Chapel in Newport News, Virginia.  Linda currently lives in Hayes, Virginia and originally hails from the Cherry Hill, NJ/Philadelphia, PA area.  Our prayers are with you, Linda! Sister Cara Lucille, OSF hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (left) and is currently a novice in the Eastern Franciscan Common Novitiate in Kearny, New Jersey. She previously worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a medical technologist.  Sister Cara learned of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters through Vision Magazine.  “The joy and warmth of the Sisters and their involvement in a variety of ministries” attracted her. She “appreciated feeling welcome” from the very beginning! Fran Bozzo comes from Lincoln Park, Michigan (right) and is currently a Candidate (Postulant) in Reading, Pennsylvania.  She previously worked at Northwest Airlines and met the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters serving the poor with Sister Cecilia Zondlo. “The Sisters’ dedication to following Jesus in the footsteps of St. Francis and St. Clare and their openness to the Holy Spirit” attracted Fran to the Bernardine Franciscans. “I am enjoying getting to know the Sisters as well as the history of the Congregation and Franciscanism!” GO TO VOWED BERNARDINE FRANCISCAN SISTER PAGE GO TO ASSOCIATES PAGE
